Dagfa School Nottingham is an independent, co-educational school for pupils aged between 2 and 16. Led by Headmaster Dr Peter Woodroffe, the school aims to encourage the personal development of its pupils by providing a wide range of both curricular and extracurricular stimulation. Through the two houses, Chatsworth and Newstead, pupils are able to develop self-esteem and consideration for one another and because we are a small school, the bond between staff and pupils is excellent. We promote parent involvement in school life and have a very active PTA, so pupils can learn in a supportive and nurturing environment. Our mission is to develop our pupils’ interest in learning, which is reflected in our consistent academic success and most recently, 83% of pupils gained 5 or more GCSEs at A* to C in the 2014 exams, with 24% of the grades being A or A*! This is an amazing achievement for a non-selective school, where the pupils were only predicted to get 3.5% A and A* grades. The majority of the pupils exceeded their expected results. Our concern is and always will be to help our pupils to do their best and to leave our care well rounded and intelligent young people. Why not come for a visit?
